Week 16 of Pregnancy: The First Time I Felt My Baby’s “Response” Through Music
The gentle, beautiful and pleasant light music can make pregnant women enjoy beauty and give the fetus a sense of peace. The following is the music experience shared by a 16 week mother to be:
Last night, I sat by the bay window as usual to play prenatal music, choosing a gentle piano piece called Lullaby Under the Stars. The moment my fingertip touched the play button, the moonlight outside spilled right onto my baby bump, wrapping it in a warm glow like a soft cotton blanket.
At first, I just tapped my foot along with the melody. Unexpectedly, just two minutes later, my belly gave a tiny, gentle bump—not the vague, gassy feeling I usually get, but a clear, light touch, like a small fist nudging against my skin! I held my breath instantly, even softening my breathing, afraid of disturbing this sudden “interaction.”
Later, I tried switching to a violin version of Spring Song, with a slightly livelier rhythm—and the baby moved again! This time, it felt like a slow, gliding motion, shifting from the left side to the right, as if “taking a walk” to the melody. So my baby can really hear it! It turns out the bond between us has long been able to pass through music in such a tender way.
Now, the thing I look forward to most every day is our evening “music time”; even just sitting quietly makes me feel incredibly close to my baby.
Now that you are here, you may as well listen to an prenatal music I recommend to you, hoping to bring you and your baby a happy mood. Please click the following link to view:
