Rheumatoid arthritis: nourish with food, relieve pain and protect joints
During the onset of rheumatoid arthritis, the redness, swelling, heat and pain of joints often make people unable to move. In addition to following the doctor’s advice, the daily diet can also play an auxiliary role in relieving.
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that rheumatoid arthritis is mostly related to the invasion of “wind, cold and dampness”. Diet therapy should focus on the idea of “dispelling wind and dampness, dredging collaterals and alleviating pain, and tonifying liver and kidney”, and select food materials of the same origin as medicine and food, which can not only meet the taste buds, but also gently regulate the body.
Here are two classic and easy-to-use Chinese medicine dietotherapy formulas recommended for daily consumption.

1. Ginger and cinnamon porridge: warm and unblock meridians, dispel cold evil

It is a commonly used medicine for regulating wind cold arthralgia in traditional Chinese medicine; Ginger dispels cold and warms the stomach, helping Ramulus Cinnamomi dispel joint cold; Rice and brown sugar can strengthen the spleen and nourish the stomach, and avoid the stomach injury caused by too warm and dry herbs. It is suitable for long-term consumption in autumn and winter.

Eucommia ulmoides can tonify the liver and kidney, strengthen the muscles and bones, and is an important medicine for regulating the arthralgia of muscles and bones; Lycium barbarum nourishes the liver and kidney, benefits the essence and brightens the eyes; Spareribs can supplement calcium and protein, and jujube can replenish qi and nourish blood. The combination of the three can not only alleviate joint pain, but also enhance physical fitness. It is suitable for middle-aged and elderly patients or patients with long-term illness.

Nourish your body with food, moisten your body silently. The treatment of rheumatoid arthritis needs patience. I hope these mild diet treatments can add care to your joint health and make every walk easier.
