Week 32 of Pregnancy: “Meeting” My Tiny Baby in Advance Through Music
Bad sleep during pregnancy is too common! When sleep is bad, lying down and listening to soothing prenatal music can help you relax your tight body and fall asleep slowly. The following is a true share of a 32 week expectant mother:
I’ve been having trouble sleeping at night lately. My baby’s movements have grown stronger—sometimes a small, firm bump would push out from my belly, and touching it felt both hard and miraculously wonderful. So every night before bed, I play a mellow cello piece, turning the volume just loud enough to drown out the traffic noise outside the window.
Last night, while the music played, I tried pressing my ear against my baby bump. Surprisingly, I faintly heard my baby’s “response”—not a movement, but a soft sound like tiny bubbles popping. The doctor said this might be the baby swallowing amniotic fluid or “secretly” moving their mouth. At that moment, my nose suddenly felt sore. It turns out this little person, growing inside me, has been quietly “growing up” along with the music.
Now, when choosing prenatal music, I deliberately avoid overly lively pieces, instead favoring melodies with a steady rhythm, like the beat of a heartbeat. I always think this kind of music can let my baby know that the world outside is gentle—and that Mom is eagerly looking forward to the day when we can listen to music together under the sun.
Now that you are here, you may as well listen to the music I recommend to you. Please feel carefully whether you can get the baby’s “response”. Please click the following link to view:
